On July 26, 2026, at 5:14 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Loren Drive after receiving a report of two unresponsive individuals who had been discovered in the attached garage by a family member.

Upon arrival, officers located a 50-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, both of whom appeared to have sustained stab wounds. The Will County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced both individuals dead.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed the man and woman, who were married and resided together, became involved in a domestic-related confrontation in the garage during the early morning hours of July 26, 2026.

Detectives believe the man fatally stabbed the woman multiple times before taking his own life with the same knife, which was recovered at the scene.

The couple’s two adult children and one juvenile child were at the residence when officers arrived. Investigators have found no indication that any other individuals were involved in the incident, and there is no known threat to the public.

Officers and detectives conducted an extensive neighborhood canvass and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

The identities of the deceased, as well as the official cause and manner of death, will be determined by the Will County Coroner’s Office.
