Joliet Junction Trail section closed for IDOT project on I-80

A section of the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s’ Joliet Junction Trail is closed from McDonough Street in Joliet to Moen Avenue in Rockdale.

The closure is required for an Illinois Department of Transportation project on Interstate 80 above the trail.

The closure started Monday, Jan. 26, and it is scheduled to last until Saturday, March 21, but weather and other factors could affect this timeline. Updates will be posted on the Forest Preserve District’s website, ReconnectWithNature.org, as necessary.
