Here are the Forest Preserve District of Will County programs for the week of July 13. Online registration is available on the Event Calendar at ReconnectWithNature.org.

BYOB Bingo: 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 16, Prairie Bluff Preserve, Crest Hill. Enjoy an evening of outdoor bingo, socializing and prizes at the preserve shelter. Bring dinner, snacks and beverages (including beer or wine) if you’d like. Ages 21 or older; free.

Kickin’ It at the Iron Works: 4-7 p.m. Friday, July 17, Joliet Iron Works Historic Site, Joliet. Celebrate Route 66’s centennial with a self-guided tour of historic Iron Works, live blacksmith demonstrations, historic photos and stories from Forest Preserve staff. All ages; free.

Surf-N-Turf Concert: 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 17, Monee Reservoir, Monee Township. Enjoy food trucks, lawn games, kayaking and a concert by The StingRays featuring hits from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. Bring a lawn chair or enjoy the music from the water. All ages; free.

Lake Renwick Migratory Bird Viewing: 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, July 18, Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Nature Preserve, Plainfield. View nesting herons, egrets, cormorants and bald eagles during the preserve’s controlled-access nesting season. Staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions. All ages; free.

Native Illinois History and Contemporary Issues: 1-2:15 p.m. Saturday, July 18, Isle a la Cache Museum, Romeoville. Illinois Humanities Road Scholar Dr. Dorene Wiese will explore Native American history in Illinois and the continuing contributions of Native communities today through storytelling, music, dance and art. All ages; free. Register by July 16.
