Golden Opportunities After Hours: 4-6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, and 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, Channahon. View the “Golden Opportunity: Botanical Illustrations” traveling exhibit during extended hours. Free, all ages.
Volunteer Morning: 9 a.m.-noon, Thursday, Dec. 14, Keepataw Preserve, DuPage Township. Get some fresh air and exercise while helping to make a difference in your community. Owl Prowl for Adults: 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, Messenger Woods Nature Preserve, Homer Township. Search for elusive owls and discover how many species of owls reside in Will County. Free, ages 16 or older. Register by Dec. 15.
Morning Bird Hike: 8-10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, Monee Reservoir, Monee Township. Join a guided hike to find out what birds use Monee Reservoir. Free, ages 16 or older. Register by Dec. 16.
