Hundreds of police departments use camera company accused of breaking state law

– On April 13, 2026, at 3:49 a.m., officers responded to Edward C. Wilko Lane, west of Houbolt Road, for a report of a man down.

Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male lying in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Saint Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department and later transferred to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he remains in critical condition.

Officers and detectives canvassed the area in an effort to gather additional evidence and information. This appears to be an isolated incident.
