Murder Charges Filed in Crete Township Triple Murder
Strouble
Sheriff Mike Kelley is pleased to announce that on 03/24/2026, detectives with the Will County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest warrant on 9 counts of first-degree murder for Jenna Strouble in connection to the 03/23/2026 triple homicide that occurred in Unincorporated Crete.
Jenna Strouble is 30 years old from St. John, Indiana.
The preliminary investigation shows this was a targeted incident and during the detectives’ interviews Strouble gave incriminating statements, following the homicides. Investigators recovered a firearm and were able to determine it did match the one used in the homicides.
On 03/23/2026 at approximately 2 a.m., Will County Sheriff’s deputies were asked to perform a welfare check from a concerned family member, at a home in the 3400 block of E. Norway Trail in Crete Township.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found the bodies of three adults, two men and one woman. The victims, all residents of the home on E. Norway Trail, included a man and his parents.
They have been identified by the Will County Coroner’s office as 32-year-old Jacob Lambert, 54-year-old Stacy Forde, and 55-year-old Patrick Forde.
Lambert was found dead in a car in the driveway, and his parents were found dead inside the home on the first floor, near the front door.
Strouble had an on/off relationship with Lambert, and they had children together.
Preliminary investigation shows that Strouble fled the scene to her home in St. John, Indiana, and that’s where St. John’s police took her into custody.
The Will County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the St. John’s police department and the Lake County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office for their quick response and full assistance during this investigation and for their commitment in bringing justice to this case.
Strouble is still being held at the Lake County, Indiana jail and will be in their custody until she’s extradited back to Illinois for these charges.
As always, charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
