Suspect Identified in Cell Phone Store Robbery

Following an extensive investigation into the aggravated robbery at a Cricket Wireless store on February 7, 2026, Joliet Police detectives identified Vincent Bond (59, Joliet) as a suspect.
Bond was interviewed by detectives at the Joliet Police Department on February 17, 2026. After reviewing the evidence of this case, the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office approved charges of one count of Aggravated Robbery and one count of Robbery. Bond was taken into custody, processed, and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
“This case reflects the dedication and persistence of our detectives and officers who worked diligently to identify and apprehend the individual responsible,” said Joliet Police Chief Bill Evans.
