On December 7, 2025, at 5:31 a.m., Officers responded to the Riverwalk Homes Apartments located at 316 North Bluff Street for a report of multiple individuals who had forcibly entered an apartment. Responding officers learned that the suspects were believed to have fled in a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers met with an adult female victim who had visible injuries to her face.
Officers determined that earlier in the evening, the suspect, Jackson, had been a guest in the apartment and allegedly struck the victim multiple times after becoming intoxicated. The tenant of the apartment escorted Jackson out of the residence.
A short time later, Jackson returned to the apartment accompanied by other individuals. Jackson and the group began kicking the apartment door and ultimately forced entry into the residence.
Once inside, Jackson is suspected of again attacking the victim before 9-1-1 was called and the suspects fled the scene.
At the time of the incident, the victim was inside the apartment with her young son and the adult female tenant. They were not injured. The victim was treated at the scene by Joliet Fire Department paramedics and declined transport to a hospital. Detectives immediately launched an investigation into this incident.
