Joliet Police announced Jalen Davis (18, Joliet) was arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery.
On December 15, 2025, at 3:05 p.m., Officers responded to O’Reilly Auto Parts (312 Collins Street) for a report of a robbery. Responding Officers were told that the male robbery suspect implied that he had a firearm.
Upon arrival, Officers learned that a man was seen inside of the store. When an employee asked him if he needed assistance, he allegedly told the employee that he had a gun and lifted his pant leg to show the employee an ankle monitor that he was wearing. No weapon was seen.
The employee backed away and the man exited the store after stealing a floor jack.
As this investigation progressed, Detectives quickly identified the robbery suspect as Davis. Tactical Officers arrested Davis at his residence in the 900 block of Campbell Street on December 15, 2025, at 7:12 p.m.
Upon questioning of Davis by Detectives, he indicated his involvement in the robbery. Detectives determined that the weapon was only implied.
Davis was processed and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
