Hundreds of police departments use camera company accused of breaking state law

September 16, 2025) – On September 16, 2025, at 9:04 a.m., Officers responded to the area near Bluff Street and West Marion Street for a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, Officers located a 44-year-old male who had sustained multiple stab wounds to his body.

Officers immediately rendered medical aid until the arrival of paramedics. The victim was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department in serious condition. It is believed the victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.

During this investigation, information was developed indicating a male was seen in the vicinity at the time of the stabbing. Officers located the 30-year-old male nearby in Bicentennial Park (201 West Jefferson Street).

The male was detained and was transported to the Joliet Police Department for further questioning by Detectives.
