Bolingbrook Man Faces 10 Felony Drug, Weapons and Theft Charges
In the early morning hours of Friday, July 25, 2025, at approximately 1:45 a.m., Will County Sheriff’s deputies were conducting routine patrols in the 1000 block of Raynor Avenue in Joliet Township when they observed a 2017 Chevy Silverado parked in an alley. The vehicle was quickly identified as having been reported stolen the previous evening.
Deputies approached the vehicle and located 23-year-old Francisco A. Medina of Bolingbrook in the driver’s seat. Medina was taken into custody without incident.
A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of:
19 bags of suspected cocaine weighing approximately 26 grams
A Springfield Hellcat 9mm pistol, which was confirmed to be stolen out of Joliet
An electronic scale with white residue
A Ram key fob belonging to another vehicle reported stolen in Joliet
Black clothing, including a ski mask
Medina, who is a convicted felon, was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility and is currently facing the following felony charges:
Felon in Possession of a Firearm (2 counts)
Possession of a Firearm with Expired FOID (2 counts)
Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon
Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Possession of a Stolen Vehicle Over $25,000
Receiving/Possessing a Stolen Vehicle
Possession of a Controlled Substance (15-100 grams of cocaine)
Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (15-100 grams of cocaine)
