Serious Injuries Reported in Plainfield Road Accident
On April 14, 2025, at 6:09 a.m., Officers responded to the intersection of Plainfield Road and Voyager Lane for a report of a crash with injuries.
A preliminary investigation of the crash determined the following: A Honda Civic driven by a male (23, Plainfield) was believed to be traveling southbound on Plainfield Road approaching Voyager Lane.
The Honda initiated a left turn toward Voyager Lane and collided with a Toyota
Sienna driven by a female (57, Joliet) that was northbound Plainfield Road at Voyager Lane.
It was reported to Officers that the stoplight for Plainfield Road was green at the time of the collision.
The driver of the Honda was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center and the driver of the Toyota was transported to Silver Cross Hospital by the Joliet Fire Department.
Both drivers arelisted in serious condition.
The roadway was closed as the crash scene was reconstructed by traffic crash investigators and this crash remains under active investigation.
