Rep. La Ha Launches Summer Reading Program

State Rep. Nicole La Ha

State Rep. Nicole La Ha is inviting students across the district to take part in her 2026 Summer Reading Program, encouraging young readers to stay engaged and active through reading during summer break.
“When young people discover a love for reading, they open the door to new ideas, new adventures, and lifelong learning,” La Ha said in a press release.

“Summer reading helps students stay sharp, build confidence, and use their imagination in ways that can shape their future. I’m excited to once again offer this program to families across the district.”
The program is open to students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Participants are challenged to read 10 books over the summer. Books longer than 150 pages may count as two books, and books read through local library programs are also eligible.

Students who complete the program will receive a personalized Certificate of Achievement from Rep. La Ha.

Families can complete the reading log online through Rep. La Ha’s, https://replaha.com/summer-reading-program/ or drop off physical forms at her district office located at 12271 Walker Road in Lemont.
For more information about the program, contact Rep. La Ha’s district office at (630) 755-4296.
