Free Monthly Vet’s Breakfasts Expand to New Lenox

Exciting times are ahead for veterans beginning April 24 at the Arrowhead Ales Brewing Company in New Lenox,l.

That’s when the Kevin Molloy State Farm team joins the folks at the First Bank of
Manhattan/New Lenox and Mike Bacon, the owner of Arrowhead Ales Brewing Company, 2101 Calistoga Drive — the Berkot’s Plaza — for the first of their monthly FREE Veteran’s Breakfasts, the last Friday of each month from 7 to 8:15 a.m.

The Kevin Molloy State Farm team has been serving a free veteran’s breakfast for seven
years in Manhattan, and when Ryan Bancsy, from the First Bank of Manhattan/New Lenox reached out to join forces on a New Lenox venture, it was an easy yes, Molloy said.

“There is no other organization I would want to extend this brand to more than FNBM, because they are the model of giving back to the community, and I’ve worked with them with the Wreaths Across
America Veterans program.

“Reaching out to Mike Bacon made sense since he owns Arrowhead in Manhattan, and he also looks for opportunities like this.”

Bancsy agreed.

““We’ve been able to be a guest co-sponsor in Manhattan, and frankly sitting with the veterans at the Manhattan event just brings out the best in you, so knowing the blueprint was there, why not try to expand to New Lenox.”

It didn’t take long for Mike Bacon to buy into the concept, stating, “once I was able to get my team on board to open up for this event, it was simply the right thing to do.”The partnership is hoping to bring veterans from miles away the last Friday of each month, so they’re hoping the word-of-mouth spreads quickly.

It should be noted that on the first
Friday of each month, Molloy and Kevin Schuster, the owner of Midtown Bar and Grill, provide a free veterans’ breakfast in downtown Manhattan from 7 to 8:15 a.m.
