Will County Clerk Annette Parker published the ballot drop box locations for Vote By Mail collection, including a newly acquired ballot drop box that will be placed at the Village Hall in New Lenox.
This new addition increases the total to 10 secure ballot drop boxes across Will County in which voters may deposit their completed Vote By Mail envelopes.
Due to construction taking place at the Joliet Library Black Road Branch, the ballot drop box has been temporarily relocated for the Primary Election. The ballot drop box will be relocated to the Silver Cross Professional Building located at 1051 Essington Road. This relocation will ONLY be for the Primary Election.
The ballot drop boxes are strategically placed throughout Will County to serve voters in every region. All drop boxes will be available to deposit your ballot beginning Monday, Feb. 9, and will remain in their locations until the closing at Noon on Monday, March 16, the day prior to Election Day.
The exception will be the Will County Office Building drop box, which will be available beginning Thursday, Feb. 5, and remain open until 7 p.m. on Election Day, March 17.
- Vote By Mail ballots will begin to be mailed on February 5. The last day to apply for a Vote By Mail ballot is March 12.

Drop boxes will be placed at:
• The Will County Office Building, 302 N. Chicago St., in downtown Joliet. The drop box will be under camera surveillance outside the building. Voters may drive up and deposit their ballots at any time.
• Fountaindale Public Library, 300 W. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook. Located inside the library.
• Frankfort Public Library, 21119 S. Pfeiffer Road, Frankfort. Located inside the library.
• Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park. Located inside the university’s main building.
• Naperville 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive, Naperville. Located inside the library.
• Village of New Lenox Village Hall- 1 Veterans Parkway, New Lenox. Located inside Village Hall
• Plainfield Public Library, 15025 S. Illinois St., Plainfield. Located inside the library.
• Silver Cross Professional Building- 1051 Essington Road, Joliet. Located inside the professional building.
• White Oak Library, 121 E. Eighth St., Lockport. Located inside the library.
• Wilmington Public Library, 201 S. Kankakee St., Wilmington. Located inside the library.
“Secure ballot drop box locations give voters a safe, convenient, and reliable way to return their Vote By Mail ballots. My goal is to ensure every voter knows where and how they can participate in our elections with confidence. These secure drop boxes provide voters with flexibility while maintaining the integrity of the election process,” Parker said.
The boxes will be emptied on a daily basis by trained election representatives. All ballots will be immediately transported to the Will County Clerk’s Office.
