From the Publisher
Dear Readers:
We strive every week to provide news and stories that are of interest to YOU — news and stories that other news sources do not necessarily provide. Aside from the goings on in our local cities and towns, we try to also provide relevant news from throughout the county.
Some of my favorite sections of Farmers Weekly Review include “Our Rural Heritage” columns by Sandy Vasko, the “Gardener 2 Gardener” columns of Nancy Kuhajda, “Outstanding in Their Field” by John Kiefner, and of course many outstanding stories by some stellar guest reporters and our own Nick Reiher. Perhaps you have favorite items you enjoy every week.
Farmers Weekly Review has been published every week for over 104 years, and unfortunately publishing this newspaper gets more costly every year. All of our expenses continue to rise, but in particular, the cost of postage has risen drastically. For this particular reason, we are asking you to understand that it is necessary for us to make a slight increase in our subscription prices.
Going forward from January 1, 2026, our subscription rates will be $35 per year for in-county subscriptions, and $45 per year for out-of-county subscriptions. Again, we value our readers, and trust you understand the reasons for this increase.
As always, thank you for reading and subscribing.
