Lynn L. Wehrmann, age 67 of Peotone, formerly of Manhattan, passed away unexpectedly on September 19, due to heart bypass complications.

Lynn is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Kathy, his best friend of 62 years John (Sheree) Surdey, and children, Daniel, Joshua (Megan) and Joe. Also survived by his mother, Lois (late Raymond Koehler), father, LeRoy Wehrmann, sister Lesley, and grandchildren Aydan, Brody, Mia, Ava and Arianna.

Special recognition toward his lifetime of friends and co-workers within his logistics family which are too many to name. Many thanks to our special friend “Marshall Dillon” (Heidi Hermann), who was always there babysitting the property and running off trespassers.

Lynn lived life with an unmatched gusto and tenacity for life. Lynn will be remembered for his kindness, unwavering integrity, love for his family and his quiet generosity, which extended beyond many states.

He worked over 45 years in Logistics Management, retiring in 2023. Lynn could build, take apart, fabricate, invent … you name it, his creative abilities were boundless! He was devoted to his wife Kathy, having been married in November 2005 in the Grand Canyon, his favorite vacation spot.

Visitation and Funeral services for Lynn will took place on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, with interment at the Manhattan Center Cemetery.
