No Injuries in Dec. 6 Mokena House Fire
New Lenox Fire Protection District Responds to Residential Structure Fire
Wednesday, December 6th just after 10 p.m., the New Lenox Fire Protection District received a call for a structure fire on Marshall Court in Mokena.
Prior to arrival, 911 dispatch informed the responding crews of multiple calls reporting the fire. The first engine on scene of the single-family residence upgraded the call to a full still after reporting flames showing from several blocks away. Additional resources were requested from area fire departments to assist with water supply and set up rural water.
The fire was in control in approximately 30 minutes.
All occupants of the residence and their pet were safely out of the home and no injuries were reported.
The fire is currently under investigation by the MABAS 19 Fire Investigation Team.
Multiple agencies were on the scene and at the New Lenox Fire Stations to cover any additional calls for service during that time. These include Mokena Fire Protection District, Frankfort Fire Protection District, Homer Township Fire Protection District, Manhattan Fire Protection District, Lockport Fire Protection District, Orland Fire Protection District, Elwood Fire Protection District, East Joliet Fire Protection District, Northwest Homer Fire Protection District, Troy Fire Protection District, Romeoville Fire Protection District, and Channahon Fire Protection District.
