Farm Days Gone By
Conrad Kiefner tools around on his Minneapolis Moline ZA tractor on the farm along what possibly was known then as Reardon Road, now called Houbolt Road. Conrad was the father of Robert, who was the father of John Kiefner. The farm lost a couple acres in the 1960s when Interstate 80 was built. With the highway being only about 150 feet from the house, all remnants of it were destroyed when the Houbolt road interchange was built in 1991.
