IFB Honors Farm Bureau
Will County Farm Bureau was awarded the Liberty Bell Award during the Illinois Farm Bureau annual meeting December 4. The award was for combined efforts in the legislative and local government arena. President Steve Warrick Sr. accepted the award on stage. The Will County Farm Bureau Young Farmers nominated Steve Warrick Sr. for his strong support, attending their functions, seeking their input and keeping them involved in the everyday actions of the Farm Bureau. Presenting the award to Steve was Ryan Reeverts, the state Young Leader chairman.
The Will County Farm Bureau Young Farmers Committee was awarded to top most outstanding program in membership Group 5 which is the larger county size during the Illinois Farm Bureau annual meeting. It was awarded for their golf outing which has been at the top for the past 5 years minus the COVID year. Accepting the award from Ryan Reeverts the state young leaders chairman is Ryan Nugent, who has chaired this event and was the person who started the golf outing to support ag education in Will County, netting this past year over $16,200.
