NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING
THE INTENT OF THE FOREST PRESERVE DISTRICT OF WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS
TO SELL NOT TO EXCEED
$50,000,000 GENERAL OBLIGATION LIMITED TAX BONDS
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Forest Preserve District of Will County, Illinois (the “District”), will hold a public hearing on the 6th day of June 2024, at 9:15 o’clock a.m. The hearing will be held at the Will County Boardroom located at the Will County Office Building, 302 North Chicago Street in Joliet, Illinois. The purpose of the hearing will be to receive public comments on the proposal to sell bonds of the District in an amount not to exceed $50,000,000 for the purpose of financing improvements to existing forest preserves, wetlands and prairies and to acquire and improve forests and other natural lands, for purposes of preserving wildlife habitats, protecting natural resources, improving flood control, providing educational programs and increasing access to trails, fishing and other recreational areas of the District.
