WILL COUNTY PLANNING AND ZONING SPECIAL MEETING FOR

A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR A COMMERCIAL SOLAR ENERGY FACILITY

ZONING CASE ZC-25-139

Notice is hereby given that Owner of Record (see attached spreadsheet and map), Sparrow Property Management, LLC, Applicant, and Polsinelli Law Firm, Attorney have filed a filed a petition before the Will County Planning and Zoning Commission for the following: (see attached spreadsheet and map) ZC-25-139 (Monee Township/Sections 24, 25, 26, 27, 34, 35, 36; Crete Township/Sections 19, 20, 30, 32; Washington Township/Sections 5, 6, 7, 8; Will Township/Section 3); Special use permit for commercial solar energy facility (approximately 2,403 acres); To construct a 260MW commercial solar energy facility.

PINs: See attached spreadsheet and map. Address: Multiple properties roughly located in the area south of Old Monee Road, west of CSX Railroad, east of S Kuersten Road, and north of W Church Road.

The scheduled hearing date is March 18, 2026, at 5:30 PM CDT at the Renaissance Center, located at 214 N Ottawa St, Joliet, IL 60432; doors open at 4:30 PM. Should the meeting need to be continued to another day, it is anticipated this date would be March 19, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Renaissance Center, located at 214 N Ottawa St, Joliet, IL 60432; doors open at 4:30 PM. For further information regarding this notice, contact the Will County Land Use Department, Development Services, at 815-774-3321. Please contact the Will County Land Use Department for special accommodations or information ahead of the meeting. If possible, the Land Use Department requests that all comments and accommodation requests be received a minimum of one week prior to the scheduled public hearing date.
