NOTICE FOR PUBLICATION – WILL AND CLAIMS
Notice is given of the death of Theresa J. Papesh of Joliet, Illinois. Letters of Office were issued on August 8, 2024 to Joanne M. Papesh, whose address is 2317 Mason Avenue, Joliet, Illinois 60435, and whose attorney is John S. Gallo, Tracy, Johnson & Wilson, 2801 Black Road, Second Floor, Joliet, Illinois 60435.
Notice is given to the unknown heirs of Theresa J. Papesh, whose names or addresses are not stated in the petition, that an order was entered by the court on August 8, 2024, admitting the will to probate. Within 42 days after the effective date of the original order of admission, you may file a petition with the court to require proof of the will by testimony of the witnesses to the will in open court or other evidence, as provided in Section 6-21 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/6-21). You also have the right under Section 8-1 of the Probate Act of 1975 (755 ILCS 5/8-1) to contest the validity of the will by filing a petition with the court within 6 months after admission of the will to probate.
The Estate will be administered without court supervision, unless under Section 28-4 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/28-4) any interested person terminates independent administration at any time by mailing or delivering a petition to terminate to the Clerk.
Claims against the estate may be filed in the office of the Clerk of the Court at the Will County Courthouse, 100 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, Illinois, or with the representative, or both, on or before February 22, 2025 and any claim not filed on or before that date is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the representative and to the attorney within ten (10) days after it has been filed.
