Claim Notice and Notice to Unknown Heirs of Decendent
Notice is hereby given of the death of Joseph Stanley Clark. Letters of office were issued on July 21, 2023 to Glenn S. Clark of Plainfield, Illinois, as Independent Administrator, whose attorney is Samuel J. Erkonen of Samuel J. Erkonen, PC whose address is 24014 W. Renwick Road, #105, Plainfield, IL 60544.
Notice is given to unknown heirs, minor or disabled persons, or legatees who are named in a Petition, filed in the above proceeding to probate a Will and whose names or addresses are not stated in the Petition, that an order was entered by the Court on July 21, 2023, admitting the will to probate.
Within 42 days after the effective date of the original order of admission you may file a petition with the Court to require proof of the will by testimony of the witnesses to the will in open court or other evidence, as provided in Sec 6-21 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/6-21). You also have the right under Sections 8-1 of the Probate Act (755 ILCS 5/8-1) to collect the validity of the Will by filing a petition with the Court within 6 months after admission of the will to probate.
Claims against the estate may be filed in the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Will County, Illinois, located on the 2nd floor of the Will County Court house, located at 14 W Jefferson St, Joliet, IL 60432, (or at the Will County Annex, 57 N Ottawa Street, Joliet, IL 60432, Room 213) or with the representative, or both, on or before February 13, 2025, or if mailing or delivery of a notice from the Representative is required by 755 ILCS 5/18-3 of the Probate Act of 1975, the date stated in that notice. Any claim not filed on or before that date is barred. Copies of a claim filed with the clerk must be mailed or delivered by the claimant to the representative and to the Attorney within ten (10) days after it has been filed.
