ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

BID INFORMATION

A. Sealed bids will be received by Minooka Fire Protection District on February 12th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (CT) for BID PACKAGE 02A – Perimeter Fencing, scope of work pertaining to the perimeter Ornamental and Chain Link fence furnish and install at the new Minooka Fire Training Facility.

B. Anticipated Award of Contract Date: March 17, 2026

C. Anticipated Start of Construction: June 22, 2026

D. Anticipated Final Completion Date: August 7, 2026

E. Bid packages will be received for this project at the scheduled time of receipt of bids.

F. Bid security shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and will be held by the Construction Manager until award.

G. Bids shall be submitted on or before the specified closing time in a sealed opaque envelope clearly labeled with the bidder’s name and bid package number.

H. This project is exempt from all taxes.

I. MBE/FBE PARTICIPATION: The Minooka Fire Protection District encourages participation by minority and female-owned businesses. The successful contractor is strongly encouraged to utilize MBE/FBE firms for supplies, equipment, services, and subcontracting.

J. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the Minooka Fire Protection District.

K. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all contractors working on public works. Bidders must comply with the Illinois statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity laws.

L. Bidding documents are on file and may be obtained from the Construction Manager. Bidding documents will consist of PDF files of drawings and specifications from: Narvick Bros. M. Bidders shall not contact the District or the Architect directly for any All communications must be directed to the Construction Manager.

N. Upon approval by the Minooka Fire Protection District Board, the Contract shall be held by Narvick Bros. Construction Managers.
