Joliet Public Library Seeking Donations for Humane Society
The Joliet Public Library will be hosting a Giving Tree and collecting donations for the Will County Humane Society from November 25 until December 31.
Donated items can include those ranging from dog and cat food, to cleaning supplies, treats and blankets. All of the items requested benefit the adoptable animals at the Humane Society, Will County’s older “no-kill” animal shelter.
The Humane Society has been serving the area for over 40 years with the purpose to provide homeless pets a safe haven and help them find their forever home. Every year, they are for up to 25 homeless dogs and 50 cats, providing general health care, shelter and well being through a network of volunteers and resources. Visit https://www.willcountyhumane.com/ for more information.
The shelter is a private, 501(3)(c) not-for-profit that receives no federal or local government dollars to run our facility and care for pets.
For more information, visit http://jolietlibrary.org/, or call 815-740-2660. Library hours are Monday- Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday — Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday from 1 — 5 p.m.
