75th Anniversary Turkey Raffle at Peotone Legion
The Peotone American Legion Post 392, the Peotone American Legion Auxiliary and the Manhattan/Peotone consolidated Fire Protection District will be co-hosting the 75th Anniversary Turkey Raffle at the Peotone American Legion Post hall on Friday, Nov. 17, from 4:30 – 9 p.m. This event has a one-year hiatus in 2022 and is making a come-back this year.
The monthly Peotone American Legion fish fry for November has been moved to this date to coordinate their efforts into having one fish fry in November at the Turkey Raffle. Food will be served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., and on the menu will be ocean perch or catfish with coleslaw and fries for $15 and/or a hot dog and fries for $5.
The auxiliary will also have delicious desserts available for purchase at $2 each. Draft 8 oz. beers will be $2, each along with other beverages available from the Legion Lounge.
The turkey raffle begins at 5 p.m. and runs to approximately 9 p.m., and will giving out large and small turkeys. A basket raffle/auction will also be held at the event. This is a fundraiser that benefits all three organizations, so come out and have some fun on November 17.
