It’s Our Honor

The General Christian F. Schilt Marine Corps Reserve Center commenced their 248th Marine Birthday Ball Celebration on 28 Oct 23 sharply at 1800. The evening's Guest of Honor was U.S. Army Medal of Honor Recipient Sergeant Allen J. Lynch, who on 15 Dec 1967 his heroic actions resulted in saving the lives of three comrades who were certain to have become casualties of war. Pictured are Lynch, also celebrating his 78th birthday, flanked by Marine Cpl. Michael Gurule, and his father, GySgt. Michael Gurule, both of Crest Hill.
