Patricia L. Quigley, age 79 of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, Jan. 23, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born Oct. 14, 1946, in Joliet, Patricia Louise was a daughter of Louis and Marie (Haley) Boseo. She was raised and educated in Manhattan and graduated from St. Francis Academy with the Class of 1964. On Sept. 18, 1965, Pat married Michael E. Quigley at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manhattan. Together, they made their home and raised their family in Florence Township.

Pat was a faithful member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where she assisted with the annual Turkey Dinner and volunteered with the Christian Help Association. A devoted wife and mother, she was always on the go, supporting her children in all of their activities. In later years, Pat proudly following her grandchildren in their many involvements as a loving and doting grandmother.

Pat enjoyed reading and often took advantage of the local library. She was an exceptional baker who looked forward to entering her baked goods at the Will County Fair, and later took great pride in serving as a dessert judge. She also loved to travel and made many cherished memories with trips to Disney and Branson. Pat enjoyed playing games, loved polka music, and will be remembered for her kind heart and warm, social spirit.

Survivors include her children: Thomas Quigley of Braidwood, Anthony (Molly) Quigley of Seneca, Ann Quigley of Manhattan, Amy (Dennis) Murphy of Diamond, Annette (Matthew) Roemer and Timothy (Carrie) Quigley, both of Manhattan and Megan (Shane) Altmyer of Clifton; grandchildren: Haley (Anthony) Donzella, Julie Quigley, Wyatt Quigley, Owen Quigley, Noah Quigley, Carly (Joseph) Kokaisl, Jessica Murphy, Kari Roemer, Corinne Roemer, Joshua Roemer, Kelsey Roemer, Timothy Quigley, Jr., Erin Quigley, Ella Quigley, Raelyn Altmyer, Raegan Altmyer and another granddaughter on the way; two great grandchildren: Cara Donzella and Murphy Kokaisl; brothers and sisters-in-law: Louis Boseo of Manhattan, John (Toni) Boseo of Wisconsin, Thomas (Kathy) Boseo of Minooka, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Karen Boseo of Manhattan, Irene Walsh of Elwood, and Paul Quigley, William Quigley and JoAnn Quigley of Wilmington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Marie Boseo; husband, Mike, on Sept. 27, 2021; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Marvin and Mary Quigley: siblings: Anne Marie in infancy and Joseph Boseo; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Linda Boseo, Vicki Boseo, Marvin James “Jimmy” Quigley, Richard “Dick” Quigley and Lawrence Walsh, and her nephew, William Quigley, Jr.

The family received friends for a visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Road in Wilmington on Friday, Jan. 30, Funeral services followed on Saturday, Jan. 31, at St. Rose Catholic Church, 604 S. Kankakee St., in Wilmington. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with the Rev. Sebastian Gargol presiding. Burial was at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Wilmington, where Pat was laid to rest with her late husband, Mike.
