Illinois Extension Agronomy Summit Feb. 10 at Weitendorf

An Illinois Extension Agronomy Summit will be held beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Weitendorf Ag Center, 17840 W. Laraway Road, Joliet.

The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. with check in, coffee and refreshments, and will be followed by a program by Dennis Bowman, Illinois Extension Specialist, Digital Ag, on Digital Agriculture and Advancements in the Field.

At 10 a.m., Trent Ford, Illinois State Climatologist, will report on the 2026 Crop Climate Outlook. Following a short break, Gerald Mashange, Assistant Professor, University of Illinois, will present on After one hour for a provided lunch at noon, Giovanni Preza Fontes, Assistant Professor University of
Illinois. will speak on Plant Nutrition and Sulfur in Corn and Soybean.

At 2 p.m., Boris Camiletti, Illinois Assistant Professor, Pathology, will present on Fungal Diseases and Management in Corn and Soybeans. The summit will end at 3 p.m.
