At Visit Chicago Southland’s annual meeting and awards event, Ed Nelson, left, president of the Peotone Historical Society, was presented with an Award of Merit for his efforts in restoring the Peotone Mill, and Tom Shepherd, right, board member of the Midwest Underground Railroad Network, was presented with the Spirit of Hospitality Award. Congratulations to Ed and Tom on their well-deserved honors for their efforts to promote regional tourism.
