Here are the Forest Preserve District of Will County programs for the week of June 2. Online registration is available on the Event Calendar at ReconnectWithNature.org.

Picture This: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays–Sundays, June 4 through Aug. 24, Plum Creek Nature Center, Crete Township. Visit the “Prairie Reverie” exhibit, then use a frame to find and photograph nature’s art. Share your photos for a prize. Free. All ages.

Rainbow Hike and Hunt: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesdays–Sundays, June 4 through June 29, Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Bolingbrook. Grab a rainbow tracking sheet and explore trails to find colors in nature. Return to the center for a prize. Free. All ages.

Kayak Kollege: noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, Monee Reservoir, Monee Township. Learn flatwater kayaking basics from certified instructors with hands-on paddling time. $35 per person. Ages 12 or older. Register by June 2.

Try It at Monee Reservoir: 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, Monee Reservoir. Kick off summer with free kayaking, fishing, games and s’mores. Concessions and rentals available. Free. All ages.

Kayak Kollege: 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 5, Whalon Lake, Naperville. Join certified instructors to learn kayak strokes and safety skills on flat water. $35 per person. Ages 12 or older. Register by June 4.

National Trails Day Cleanup: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 7, Forked Creek Preserve – Ballou Road Access, Wesley Township. Join the nationwide cleanup movement and help remove litter from the trails. Supplies provided. Free. All ages. Registration and a signed waiver are required.

Meet a Beekeeper: 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 7, Plum Creek Nature Center, Crete Township. Chat with a local beekeeper and learn about the world of bees. Free. All ages.

Where the Wildflowers Are – McKinley Woods: 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, McKinley Woods – Frederick’s Grove, Channahon. Take a guided hike to discover native wildflowers and the stories behind them. Free. Ages 10 or older. Register by June 6.

Living History – Little Critters: noon-3 p.m. Sunday, June 8, Isle a la Cache Museum, Romeoville. Explore the small animals that shaped 18th-century life through hands-on history activities. Free. All ages.
