Here are the Forest Preserve District of Will County programs for the week of May 19. Online registration is available on the Event Calendar at ReconnectWithNature.org.

Fishing for Trash: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 20-25, Hidden Lakes Trout Farm, Bolingbrook. Stop by the Tackle Box bait shop to pick up a bucket and picker, clean up the preserve and earn a sweet treat. All ages; free.

First Time Fishing: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, May 23, Hidden Lakes Trout Farm, Bolingbrook. Learn the basics of fishing, including how to bait a hook, cast and catch with guidance from an instructor. All equipment provided. Ages 8 or older; $5 per person. Register by Thursday, May 22.

Family Movie Night – ‘Migration’: 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 23, Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, Channahon. Get comfy with blankets, bean bags or camping chairs and enjoy this 83-minute family film indoors with complimentary popcorn. Some seating provided. All ages; free. Register by Thursday, May 22.

Lake Renwick Migratory Bird Viewing: 8 a.m.-noon Saturdays through Aug. 9, Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Nature Preserve, Plainfield. Witness nesting herons, egrets, cormorants and possibly bald eagles during this special access program. Volunteers and staff will be on-site to answer questions. Binoculars or spotting scopes recommended. All ages; free.

Museum Campus Day: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, May 24, Isle a la Cache Museum, Romeoville. Explore the Traders Cabin, Native American longhouse and museum exhibits to learn about the Potawatomi and 18th-century French fur traders. All ages; free.

Slug Stroll: 8:30-10 a.m. Sunday, May 25, Four Rivers Environmental Education Center, Channahon. Join a slow-paced walk to search for fascinating slugs and learn about these unique mollusks along the way. All ages; free. Register by Friday, May 23.
