Crest Hill Ex-boyfriend Arrested for Unauthorized Videos
Jose Rendon (22, Crest Hill) was arrested, processed, and transported to the Will County Adult Detention Facility for Unauthorized Video Recording and Live Video Transmission (Four Counts).
On July 25, 2024, the Joliet Police Department was notified by an adult female that she had located a video recording device hidden in her bedroom.
Officers learned that Rendon was a past boyfriend of the victim, and it was determined that Rendon owned the device and had allegedly recorded the victim without her consent.
As part of this investigation, Detectives interviewed Rendon, who confirmed that he recorded the victim without her consent.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant l for the above listed charges on April 28, 2025. Rendon was placed into custody on April 29, 2025, after turning himself in at the Joliet Police Department.
Rendon was processed and transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
