On April 26, 2025, at 9:57 p.m., Officers responded to the 2500 block of West Jefferson Street for a traffic crash.

A preliminary investigation of the crash
indicated the following: A Buick Envista driven by Amiyah Frazier (19, Joliet) was westbound on West Jefferson Street at which time the Buick left the north side of the roadway and struck three unoccupied vehicles on the lot of D’Arcy Mitsubishi (2521 West Jefferson Street). All three vehicles struck are owned by the dealership.

According to a witness, that vehicle may have been traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash. Frazier was transported to St. Joseph Medical Center and later declined medical treatment.

Frazier was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.
