The City of Joliet Public Utilities Department will begin construction on the Plainfield Road (Black Road – Theodore Street) Water Main project on Thursday, March 13.

The current project phase for 2025 includes work to replace the water main on Plainfield Road (US Route 30) from Raynor Avenue to Ingalls Avenue. Lane closures on Plainfield Road from Raynor Avenue to Ingalls Avenue will be present throughout the project. This work on Plainfield Road is anticipated to be completed by July 1, 2025.
