Police Investigating Luther Avenue Drive-By Shooting
On March 10, 2025, at 8:15 p.m., Officers responded to the 1200 block of Luther Avenue for a report of a person that had been shot.
Upon arrival, Officers located a 33-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was transported to Silver Cross Hospital by the Joliet Fire Department with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is believed the gunfire came from a passing vehicle while the victim stood in front of a residence. Detectives and Officers conducted a full canvass of the area, locating numerous spent shell casings in the roadway. This shooting appears to be isolated in nature.
