New Lenox Road Closed for Love’s Water, Sewer Work

As part of the future Love’s Truck facility development, the extension of the water main and sanitary sewer will begin on Monday, February 24, 2025. As a result, New Lenox Road will be closed starting on this date between Briggs Street and Cherry Hill Road.
The road closure is necessary for the construction of water mains and sanitary sewers to serve the City of Joliet Public Utilities Department and its residents. The closure is expected to last from February 24, 2025, through July 1, 2025. Local residents will be allowed access to homes and businesses within the construction area.
The construction efforts will include, but are not limited to, pavement removal, tree removal, patching, culvert removal and replacement, water main and sanitary sewer installation, and other necessary improvements.
