Farmers Weekly Review

Thomas Nelson, 84, of Joliet, passed away on November 14. Tom was born on July 9, 1940, in Beardstown, IL, to Elmer and Velma (nee Anderson) Nelson.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Velma (nee Anderson) Nelson; siblings, Merle Widner & Barb Haywood; and in-laws, LeRoy Haywood & Ginger Nelson. Tom is survived by his brothers, Jack & Richard (Carol) Nelson; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tom served in the United States Army and was a farmer in Joliet for many years, as well as a longtime member of the Will County Farm Bureau.

A memorial visitation and funeral services were held on Friday Nov. 22, at the Hickey Memorial Chapel, 2100 Calistoga Drive, New Lenox, IL 60451, whom was in charge of the funeral arrangements
