Frankfort Sets Lighting of the Green

The Village of Frankfort will kick off the holiday season with the much-anticipated return of the Lighting of the Green at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at Breidert Green in Downtown Frankfort.
Join us for an evening of festive fun, twinkling lights, and holiday cheer that will make spirits bright. The Lighting of the Green has become a hallmark event for Frankfort residents and visitors, offering a night of festive activities and entertainment for all ages:
Live Music: Enjoy the sounds of the season with a live performance by the Hickory Creek Middle School Choir.
Grand Illumination: Be part of the thrilling countdown as downtown Frankfort comes alive with holiday cheer, glowing brightly with thousands of sparkling lights.
Arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus: Visit Santa and Mrs. Claus and let them know what’s on your holiday wish list.
Photo Opportunities: Snap pictures with festively decorated police, fire, and public works vehicles.
Seasonal Treats: Enjoy complimentary hot cocoa and cookies to bring sweetness to your evening.
Mayor Keith Ogle and the Village Board extend a warm invitation to all. “The Annual Lighting of the Green is a wonderful opportunity to embrace the magic of the season and create lasting memories with family and friends,” said Mayor Ogle. “Let’s come together as a community to light up our village and our hearts.”
This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bundle up and bring their holiday cheer for a night filled with joy, laughter, and “fa-la-la-la-la” fun!
