During the investigation of a shooting of two adult females and one adult male that occurred at Eden Bar and Grill (926 Gardner Street) in the early morning hours of September 22, 2024, Joliet Police Detectives identified Watt as the suspect responsible for shooting the victims from outside of the establishment.
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Watt on October 15, 2024, for three counts of Aggravated Battery, one count of Armed Habitual Criminal, and one count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon by Felon.
On October 18, 2024, shortly after 8:00 p.m., information was developed by members of the US Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force that Watt was inside a residence in the 7700 block of Oleander Drive in the Clublands Subdivision on Joliet’s far west side.
Members of the Joliet Police Special Operation Squad and Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the scene, and a perimeter was established around the residence.
A short time later, Watt exited the front door of the residence, and he was placed into custody without incident by Special Operation Squad members. Watt was transported to the Joliet Police Department for processing and then
transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
The Joliet Police Department thanks the US Marshals Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force and the Will County State’s Attorney Office for their assistance in this case.
