Black Road Lane Closures Set for Oct. 10-11

Work for the Black Road Acres Phase 2 Water Main Improvements Project is currently underway and upcoming portions of the project will require lane closures on Black Road at Ann Street, just west of Larkin Avenue.
The work will be performed in two phases to maintain one lane of traffic in the eastbound and westbound directions.
On October 10, the contractor will install water main across the north half of Black Road at Ann Street. Westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and shifted south, and eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
During this work, Ann Street will be closed to traffic at the north side of Black Road and Ann Street at the south side of Black Road will remain open. The contractor will backfill the excavations, patch the roadway with temporary asphalt, and reopen all lanes at the end of the day.
On October 11, the contractor will install water main across the south half of Black Road at Ann Street. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and shifted north, and westbound traffic will be reduced to one lane.
During this work, Ann Street will be closed to traffic at the south side of Black Road and Ann Street at the north side of Black Road will remain open. The contractor will backfill the excavations, patch the roadway with temporary asphalt, and reopen all lanes at the end of the day.
Drivers should be prepared for long delays and are reminded to slow down and use extreme caution when driving through the work zone. Obey posted speed limit and signing and watch for workers or flaggers. For the safety of workers and drivers do not use cell phones or text.
