Beemsterboer Announces Candidacy for Manhattan Mayor
Dear Manhattan Residents,
My name is David Beemsterboer. I am a 27-year Manhattan resident and have served this great community as a Village Trustee for nearly 24 years.
I thank you for your support and encouragement over the years and would like to officially announce my candidacy for Mayor of Manhattan in the Consolidated Election on April 1, 2025.
The residents of Manhattan deserve a leader who will serve them with honesty, common sense and true transparency. I am running for Mayor because I am concerned about the upcoming border agreement with Joliet, the controversial Northpoint project and our need for economic development.
I believe that my experience and knowledge will guide us through these challenges.
Over the past 23 years, I have guided 3 administrations through the process of securing both State and Federal grants resulting in millions of dollars granted to the Village of Manhattan for various projects.
I have worked with many new developments, both residential and commercial, and will continue to be pro-business while also considering impacts on our residents.
I look forward to sharing my plans for Manhattan in the near future. And as always, you can reach out to me with any concerns that you may have at (815) 530-6998.
Sincerely,
David Beemsterboer
