Threshermen’s Show Pedal Pull


The first pull at the Threshermen’s Show was Class A, the younger crew, consister of 26 kids pulled in the first round with the top 3 pulls as follows: From left, Third Place, Amelia Morrelle of Crete, with a pull of 23 foot 10 inches; Second Place went to Charlie Focia of Manhattan with a pull of 35 foot 10 inches, and First Place went to Harper Graf of Grant Park with a pull of 43 foot 3 inches.

The middle Class B had 24 pullers, and after the dust settled, the top 3 pulls were, from left, First Place with a pull of 36 foot 1 inch was Vinny Martin of Nashville; Second Place went to Hunter Graf of Grant Park with a pull of 32 foot 1 inch, and Third Place went to Maddox Stevens of Frankfort with a pull of 28 foot 10 inches.

The final class of the day was Class C, the older kids, and the top 3 pulls were as follows: Second Place (as first place wanted the second place prize) was Ben Floyd of Wilmington with a pull of 43 foot 3 inches, First Place went to Phillip Werner of Manhattan with a pull of 53 foot 2 inches and Third Place went to Bram Eagan of Manhattan with a pull of 39 foot 9 inches.

Joe Davis was the official starter for each of the pulls, and he gave each of them a start push and explained keep your wheel straight and pedal hard until you can’t pedal anymore! With the beautiful weather this year, a huge crowd was on hand at the 62nd Threshermen’s Show, and the young farmers had 66 kids pull at this year’s event!
