FOR THE LOVE OF AG

Five local 4H teams participated in the 2024 Ag Olympics, the 26th annual, held July 13 at JJC's Weitendorf Agricultural Education facility. Members of the teams participated in seven events -- bale stack, ear corn toss, bucket brigade, obstacle relay, big foot walk, sling shot catching and tug-of-war -- and after the dust cleared, Wesley 4H was the winning group, followed by Willing Wilton Workers, New Lenox Explorers, Will County Saddle Club and Prairie 4H. Wesley 4H caught 4 out of 5 balls in the sling shot catch to win bonus money for the club. We thank Compeer Financial for helping to sponsor the event, and Young Farmers Joe and Ashely Davis, Austin Brain, Jarrad Mulderink, Kandice Kestel and Kevin Ardaugh who volunteered.
