The Will County Threshermen’s Association (WCTA) is excited to announce its Vintage Tractor Drive Fundraiser, set for Saturday, June 8.

Vintage tractor enthusiasts will drive their tractors on a picturesque, 35-mile route through the scenic countryside of Will County, starting from the WCTA Showgrounds at Steve Spiess Farm in Manhattan. A delightful lunch will be served at Brian Kestel Farm, also in Manhattan. Proceeds from this event will support WCTA’s mission of preserving agricultural history and promoting farming heritage.

Lane Heatherwick, WCTA’s Vice President and Tractor Drive Coordinator, shared his enthusiasm for this year’s drive: “The Vintage Tractor Drive is not just a ride; it’s a community experience that allows participants to immerse themselves in the beauty of Illinois countryside while supporting our organization’s vital work.”

Registration for the Vintage Tractor Drive will begin at 6:30 a.m., with a punctual departure at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $65 per tractor, inclusive of snacks, lunch, and a commemorative hat and magnet. Pre-registration is encouraged. Interested participants can register online at the WCTA website, or reach out to Lane Heatherwick at [email protected] or 708-372-1939 for additional information.
