PrimeTimers Committee Meets
The PrimeTimers committee met on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m. and was led by Wayne Wagner, chairman, with the following members present: Phyllis Tures, Mary Ann Morse, Joan Kirk, Linda Barten, Helen Steinberg, Bev Wandless, Barb Olson and Farm Bureau personnel, Tracey Rosin and Mark Schneidewind.
The committee went to work with surfacing program ideas for their monthly activities for the new program year and will provide at least 3 bus trips in the 2024 season, possibly 4. The group felt there had been enough interest to make this happen again. The executive members had provided ideas and trip ideas.
Tracey was able to get all the print-outs ready for them to review quickly and make decisions. The group will keep the new programs secret for now, as they plan and see what’s available and check bus costs. They have 17 events that they want scheduled for the 2024 year, minus any January programs.
Bus trips being looked at for a small sneak preview are seeing musicals: Guys and Dolls and Jersey Boys and White Christmas and some bus trips to Arcola or maybe Apple Holler. As mentioned, 3 to 4 of these will be booked for the 2024 year. They also had some ideas where they looked up online, and if shows fill up with our bus, more can be added.
The group then held the election of officers for the 2024 year and they are as follows: President – Wayne Wagner; Vice President – Phyllis Tures; Secretary – Mary Ann Morse. Bev and Mary Ann said thanks to Tracey for having the information so easy to follow, and the rest agreed. The meeting adjourned at 11 a.m.
