Farm Bureau Women’s Committee Luncheon November 15
The Will County Farm Bureau Women for Family Farms Committee will be hosting their annual Fall Women’s Luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at The Jacob Henry Mansion in the Victorian Ballroom, 15 S. Richards St., Joliet, to celebrate National Farm Women’s Month.
The luncheon begins with registration at 11:30 a.m. with lunch being served promptly at 12 noon.
Lunch will include a choice of either Jake’s Gordon Bleu or Pot Roast. A meal choice will need to be made with your reservation. All entries include fresh garden salad with house dressing, assorted rolls with whipped garlic butter, coffee and tea and apple pie ala mode for dessert. A special musical program will be performed by Mike and Traci.
The theme of the luncheon will be based on “Queen for a Day,” and all attendees are encouraged to bring a purse or handbag (used in good shape is OK) to donate to a local women’s shelter. For each purse or bag donated, you will receive a ticket for a prize drawing, with a maximum of 3 tickets. You may win only once, however.
Reservations are required no later than November 10th. Please note: This luncheon is open to all women in the Will County community, not just farm women. So please join us this fall to celebrate women in agriculture!
Tickets for the luncheon are $20 and are available for sale from the Farm Bureau Office, 100 Manhattan Road, Joliet. Tickets will not be available at the door of the event. There will be no refunds on cancellations on tickets after the November 10th deadline.
