Farm Days Gone By

John Rousonelos shares these photos of the same truck, some 50 years apart. The first is of his Dad, Michael G. On the left and his brother Andy on the right. The truck is a 1950 International L160. He thinks they just got it back from having the doors lettered. His Dad and his uncles Andy and Pete farmed together on Jefferson Street and Larkin Avenue, growing fresh vegetables, as well as running the Green Thumb grocery store. The family moved to Plainfield in 1964. Now, he and wife Sherry own the truck and had it fully restored.
