Irene Davidson, 96, of Shorewood
Irene Davidson, age 96 of Shorewood, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, at Accent Care in Naperville.
Irene was born May 6, 1926, in Joliet, the daughter of Victor and Gertrude (Korevec) Felix. She was raised and educated in Joliet and married Mr. John “Jack” Davidson. Together, they made a home and raised their family in Minooka.
Irene and Jack were very active with the Will County Farm Bureau when Jack was on the board of directors. Irene enjoyed her faith and her family, but as her health declined, she often reminded her family that she just wanted to be reunited with her beloved husband, Jack. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Irene is survived by her two children: Dick (Joanne) Davidson and Jane Davidson; four grandchildren: Jill (Jeff) Robinson, Dr. Lisa (Brad) Becker, Roger (Ian) Davidson, and Brian Davidson, and four great-grandchildren: Quinn and Parker Robinson and Lilly and Thomas Becker. Irene is preceded in death by her late husband: Jack and her parents: Victor and Gertrude Felix.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date, and Irene will be laid to rest with her husband at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Joliet.
In lieu of flowers, Irene’s family requests that a happy note or card be sent to her daughter Jane.
